FLOWER GIRL SERVER

This is a very large server that was probably meant to be used at a wedding banquet.


This large approximately 11.5" server spoon features a young lass carrying a basket of flowers at the finial.
The large hand repoussed/ chased spoon bowl and stem  is nearly identical to that found on one of the very large sailing ship spoons pictured elsewhere



The finial on this spoon is cast with some minor chasing work to improve its looks
Interestingly, the child appears to be barefoot.



A couple of untraced marks. I suspect this spoon is 800 silver and was probably made in Hanau, Germany ca. 1900
